The Hound Ville was EST in 2019; we provided dog walking services in and around the area of Birkenshaw, Cleckheaton, and Gomersal, and then developed the business by opening our first grooming spa in Birkenshaw. The Hound Ville grew successfully, and we expanded the dog walking into having three vans in three different locations and two Salons, one in now East Bierley and Brighouse, with our third currently in the process due to open in July 2024 in Horsforth, Leeds.
At the Hound Ville, we are constantly evolving. While we currently offer Grooming spa services, our future is filled with exciting possibilities. We are working towards creating our own line of products and establishing a training academy. These future endeavours are a testament to our commitment to providing the best for our clients and their furry companions.
We offer Luxury grooming and spa services for dogs in a relaxed and safe environment.
Our salons are up and coming, with small retail shops selling toys, dog clothes, accessories, treats, and freshly baked goodies.

If your dog’s coat has matting, we charge an additional £10 per hour to de-matt the coat. This is due to the additional time our groomers take. We always practice welfare over vanity, and if we are presented with a neglected coat, we may believe it is kinder to remove it in accordance with the
The time we allocate to groom your dog is an approximate time frame only. Guide times are listed on our booking page. The length of time it takes for our groomers to groom your dog can depend on the breed, type/condition of the coat, temperament and age. Feel free to get in touch with us for a complimentary consultation and guide price.
We offer services for small, medium, or large breeds. As a rule of thumb, small is under 13kg, medium is 13 kg-20 kg, and large is 20 kg+. We understand that your dog may not be the typical size for its breed, so if you’re unsure of which service to book, feel free to get in touch.
The frequency of your dog’s grooms can entirely depend on their needs, their coat type and more. We will tailor the service to them and recommend to you how often they should visit us. We can discuss this in your complimentary consultation.
Bringing your puppy to the grooming spa from an early age is highly recommended so that they can learn to love the experience of grooming. Your puppy can visit once they’ve had both of their vaccinations. We will slowly get them used to the various different sounds, tools and handling when being groomed. By bringing your pup from an early age, it can enforce positive behaviours and reduce any future anxiety when visiting for their regular grooms as they mature into an adult dog. You can take a peek at our puppy packages here.
We ask that your dog arrive to its appointment on lead and has had a chance to go to the toilet. If your dog has a nervous temperament, we recommend they arrive with an empty stomach. Clients new to our spa will be asked to fill out a client registration form when they arrive. Feel free to fill it out prior to your appointment. We understand that grooming can be an anxious time for many dogs, and our salon team is experienced with nervous dogs. If your dog is uncomfortable with other dogs or people, we have secure pens in our spas to ensure your dog is safe and sound. If your dog is comfortable with a muzzle, we also have these in the salon to protect it and our team.
